Multi-layer pipe system for plumbing and heating

Primaflow now offers a multi-layer pipe system for general plumbing and heating. MLfP is easy to bend and stays bent, nor does it creep or sag as temperatures rise. Fittings are supplied in brass with a bright nickel-plated finish or stainless-steel sleeves to complete consistency of appearance. There are 21 transition fittings to make it easy to use MLfP pipe during refurbishment and modernisation programmes.

This pipe is offered in straight lengths and coils with a choice of press or compression fittings covered by a 25-year warranty. These 5-layer pipes are finished in white with an inner core of aluminium and initially available in four diameters from 16 to 32 mm.

MLfP systems are said to be easier to install than copper or conventional plastics and to typically require fewer fittings. The pipes can be buried in concrete or plaster without supplementary protection.

The expansion rate is about the same as copper and just an eighth that of PEX.
