MBS partners with BCIA to promote industry awards

BCIA, Building Controls

MBS (Modern Building Services) has been named the official media partner for the 2011 awards of the Building Controls Industry Association. The agreement follows several years of this magazine and the association working together to produce quarterly features on controls and building-management systems. There is more about the awards at the web site below and on page 9 of this issue of MBS.

The climax of the awards programme is a glittering evening of networking, entertainment and celebration attended by over 200 professionals. It is the culmination of the entire awards programme and has over recent years become an important fixture in the building controls industry ‘events calendar’.

Ian Ellis, president of the BCIA, says, ‘I am delighted that Modern Building Services magazine is the official media partner for the 2011 Building Controls Industry Awards. The association has already benefited from the support of MBS with our regular quarterly features.

‘The awards are an important industry event, and ensuring good publicity for our sponsors, shortlisted entries and winners is key to their success. As the awards will be in their fifth year in 2011, the association is very pleased to be working with the MBS team to ensure this is our best awards yet.’

Charles Keel, publishing director of MBS, says, ‘We are very pleased that MBS has been appointed official media partner for the BCIA Awards. We know the importance of the controls sector in helping to achieve energy-efficient buildings and understand that the awards are a key event for the association.

‘MBS will be supporting the BCIA with coverage in our magazine as well as through the MBS web site. Our editor Ken Sharpe will also be one of the judges for the 2011 Awards.’
