Samsung air conditioning gives cool view from the boundary at the Rose Bowl

Samsung, VRF air conditioning
Air-conditioned comfort at the Rose Bowl cricket ground is provided by a range of Samsung systems.

Samsung air-conditioning systems installed in the Shane Warne Suite and private boxes at Hampshire County Cricket Club’s Rose Bowl in Southampton were specified as offering the best value for money. The systems installed include high-efficiency DVM Plus III (VRF) heat-recovery systems, energy-recovery ventilators and cassette-type split systems from the CAC range.

The Samsung solution as selected by Martin Zealey of distributor DYSK Air Conditioning and jointly specified with installation contractors Principal Cooling.

For the 300 m2 Shane Warne Suite, two 46 kW DVM heat-recovery outdoor units serve 10 cassettes and four ducted units. The 3-pipe system can simultaneously heat and cool, using heat removed from one side of the suite to heat the other. Three energy-recovery ventilation units deliver 2300 m3/h, pre-heated or pre-cooled.

The five private boxes each have a split system from the CAC range with a cassette or high-wall-mounted indoor unit.

All the systems permit local control and are liked through a LonWorks network to a central building-management system.
