Creating the right Illusion

Riegens, luminaires
Helping to give the ‘illusion’ of greater floor-to-ceiling height in this London office refurbishment is are Illusion luminaires from Riegens.

Riegens Illusion luminaires have been used to good effect in the refurbishment of offices on the first floor of 9 Savoy Street in London’s west end, near the River Thames. Owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, the floor offers around 460 m2 of accommodation and has been the subject of a major refurbishment.

Specified by James Bevis of Mecserve, these luminaires have been installed in the office space and kitchenette. James Bevis comments, ‘The Illusion fitting was chosen for its high light-output ratio as well as easy maintenance qualities and attractive appearance. Illusion also provided the perfect solution for this installation, as we had to secure some of the luminaires within the existing plasterboard frame. The Illusion also worked well with the low floor-to-ceiling height, as the “recessed-optic” design help to give the “illusion” of greater height to the office ceiling and creating a wall lit and comfortable work area.’
