Legrand wiring accessories installed in Prince’s Foundation home at Ideal Home Show

Wiring elegance meets green living in this house built by the Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment at the recent Ideal Home Show.

Legrand’s Arteor wiring devices were installed in one of the homes at this year’s Ideal Home Show — the Prince of Wales’s Natural House designed and built by the Prince’s Foundation. This house is an attempt to introduce a new model for green building that is site-built, low-carbon and easily adapted for volume building. It remains, however, recognisably a house and doesn’t wear its greenness as if it were the latest piece of haute couture.

Caroline Boden, a marketing manager for Legrand’s wiring devices division, said, ‘The foundation is interested in meeting the requirement for zero-carbon homes by 2016, and the Natural House is very much a vision of how these homes will look and feel. Therefore, to have products from our Arteor range recommended for use by the Prince’s Foundation is something we are rightly very proud of.’

The Arteor wiring devices in the Natural House have stainless-steel plates with magnesium interiors. The Arteor range comprises everything from switches and sockets through to advanced home-automation devices.
