Waterloo Air Products enjoys sales growth
Waterloo Air Products has reported a 20% increase in sales for its air-distribution products and expanded its manufacturing facilities to keep pace with demand. Rick Edmondson, the company’s chairman, says, ‘Businesses that delayed projects at the start of the recession are now resurrecting them, and this in turn is stimulating further growth and helping to boost confidence in the industry.
‘We hold a leading position in the air-terminal market, and environmental initiatives such as the Montreal Protocol and Kyoto Protocols help drive demand for our products and technical expertise.
‘Despite the economic climate, customers are looking for added value and solutions that not only address environmental criteria but deliver optimal performance and reduce energy and lifetime costs. Chilled-beam technology addresses these criteria and is in great demand as customers seek out well engineered solutions for their products that are Eurovent certified.’
Over the last 12 months, Waterloo has been expanding in the UK by increasing its workforce as part of a drive to boost vital skills, attract youngsters and ensure the success of the HVAC industry.
Exports account for around 10% of turnover and are growing. The company’s manufacturing capabilities have benefited from new plant and machinery, including the latest press-brake machinery. There has been further investment in the test laboratory.
