Cable-management products from Marco Cable have been installed in the Shard building in London.

Marco cable-management products are used in the Shard building in London, set to be Europe’s tallest building at 310 m high. The company has supplied steel-wire cabling tray and Elite uPVC trunking to contractors working on the building. Luke Kellaher of Marco says, ‘Needless to say, we’re thrilled to have our products specified at such an important structure. Our new Elite range has sat incredibly well with the modern, clean, bright-white design of the Shard.’

The Shard will provide over 83 000 m2 of office space, hotel, residential apartments, restaurants and view galleries with views of south-east England. It was design by architect Renzo Piano.

Luke Kellaher continues, ‘This specification really highlights how far the business has come in its 9-year history. Today, we are supplying products across the UK to contractors employed at major landmark schemes, including this development in the heart of our capital. We have worked hard to ensure our products hold national appeal in terms of functionality, quality and aesthetics, and our involvement in this scheme certainly demonstrates this.’
