Frese PICV for larger heating and cooling systems

Frese has extended its range of flanged PICVs (pressure-independent balancing and control valves) for larger cooling and heating applications such as air-handling units and plate heat exchangers. The PICV Optima DN100 can handle a flow of 25 l/s, enabling it to control flow and pressure in larger-scale heating and cooling units in the likes of high-rise buildings, supermarkets and factories.

This intelligent control valve maintains balance in the system, controls room temperature and ensures that pressure fluctuations do not affect the valve performance.

An Optima PICV replaces a traditional balancing valve and 2-port control valve, eliminating the need for additional differential-pressure control valves in a system. Such accurate control can achieve up to a 50% saving on pump energy costs and help boilers and chillers work more efficiently.
