Energy-efficient pumps

Grundfos Pumps, Energy Efficiency

With modern circulating pumps being so much more efficient than pumps that are around 15 years old, Grundfos recommends that such pumps should be replaced with modern energy-efficient equivalents rather than like for like.

The UPS2, for example, is a compact high-efficiency replacement for Grundfos 15-50/60 circulators. Just one model can replace 4, 5 and 6 m versions in domestic heating systems.

The Alpha2L is designed for circulating water in domestic heating systems with constant or variable flows and in systems with variable temperature. These high-efficiency circulators can be installed in central heating and primary hot-water circuits up to 35 kW.

The Alpha2 circulator offers all the features of the Alpha2L — plus AutoAdapt setting for easy set-up and to ensure the best efficiency against changes in system demand. An LED display shows power on and electrical consumption.
