One luminaire meets two sets of lighting guidance

luminaire
Thorns’ MenloSoft SR luminaire meets the requirements of both LG3 and LG7.
Thorn’s MenloSoft SR luminaire enables lighting schemes for display-screen areas to be designed to comply with Lighting Guide LG3:2001 and LG7:2005 recommendations for the ratio of light on walls and ceilings — using just one type of fitting. These semi-recessed modular fluorescent luminaires have a suspended optic, just 82 mm below the ceiling. Light is directed onto the walls and ceiling. Luminaires are supplied with three 24 W T5 lamps operated from fixed-output or digital-dimming high-frequency control gear and complying with Part L of the Building Regulations. Standard 3 h or self-test emergency options are available. Sockets on these luminaires deliver plug-and-play connectivity, and the optic is hinged with magnetic fixings for easy maintenance without tools.
