The high lighting loads in these stores generate high heat loads and also place high demands on the incoming electrical supply. At some sites, there was not enough power to run the store and the plant. The solution was provided by Sanyo’s Eco-Multi GHP gas-fired 2-pipe VRD system, which has a minimal electrical requirement.
The solutions provided by Spencair Mechanical were generally in the form of ceiling-mounted 4-way cassette units. Where cassettes were not suitable, ducted fan coils have been installed.
The GHP range qualifies for Enhanced Capital Allowances, enabling ScS Upholstery to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on the cost of qualifying plant and machinery.
