Ideal Boilers expands its Imax range

Ideal Boilers has extended its Imax range of high-efficiency boilers with the Xtra series of condensing boilers. Six models offer outputs from 80 to 280 kW with an efficiency of up to 107.5% net at 30% load. More models later this year will increase outputs to 560 kW. The down-firing burner modulates down to 20% of maximum output. The sectional heat exchanger is of cast aluminium, and output is increased by adding sections to increase the depth of the boiler while keeping the width constant. Boilers fit through standard doorways and have adjustable feet. The micro-processor controls are readily assessible at the front of the boiler and operate all electrical functions, including ignition, flame detection, flow and return temperatures and output modulation. There is also a boiler status and fault-diagnosis program. The wide range of control options ensures easy interfacing with building-management systems, sequencing and sensor control.
