Energy-saving control for air curtains

Airbloc
Energy-efficient control of electric door curtains, SmartElec from Airbloc.
Trials of Airbloc air curtains with a new control panel have shown average energy savings of 40%. These tests in high-street stores were on an exposed site in the winter, and it is believed that greater savings could be achieved on less-exposed sites, during warmer months and with reduce air outlet temperatures. Built-in intelligence in the SmartElec control panel reduces power consumption and energy costs associated with electrically heated air curtains. These control panels can be installed with new air curtains and added to existing installations. The panel can be recessed or surface mounted and is connected to the air curtain using 24 V Belden 8132 paired 4-core cable. It can be up to 50 m from the air curtain and is easy to program. A panel can be linked to a BMS. SmartElec maintains a constant air-outlet temperature with built-in speed setting temperature compensation to prevent the effects of chill from the speed of the airstream.
