Condensing water heaters

Hamworthy Heating has added six condensing models to its Dorchester range of water heaters. The DR-FC range provides continuous outputs from 585 to 1836 l/h based on a 44 K temperature rise. They have storage capacities from 227 to 483 l. The forced-draught burner fires downwards into a spiralling coil. Electronic temperature control accurately manages flow and storage temperatures. The control panel includes an over-ride that automatically resets at the end of the next programmed period. The display can show operating history, service history and when servicing is due. An anti-legionella purge cycle can be run weekly. These water heaters can be operated as roomed sealed or open flue. Flue runs can be up to 115 m with a twin-duct system and up to 40 m with a concentric flue.
