Exhibition looks to solutions for a sustainable future

Looking to a sustainable future, next year’s exhibition in the biennial H&V series has adopted the theme ‘Sustainable solutions for the future’.
Sustainable solutions for the future has been adopted as the theme for the exhibition H&V07 at the NEC from 27 February to 1 March 2007. Over 70% of available space has already been sold for this event, which will be held against a backdrop of wasted energy costing UK businesses £570 million this Summer alone, soaring fuel costs and tightening legislation. Rowan Crowley, event director with organisers Emap Maclaren, says, ‘Despite the Government giving a green light to nuclear power in its Energy Review, renewables and energy-saving measures are still integral to lowering carbon emissions, combating rising energy prices and complying with legislation such as the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. The H&V industry is working very hard to meet these challenges through the development of innovative low-energy products, new techniques and more environmentally sustainability approaches.’ The expert seminar programme at H&V07 will embrace cutting-edge sessions. Major companies that have signed up for the show include Baxi Potterton, Ferroli, Lochinvar, Powrmatic, Vaillant, Viessmann, Belimo Automation, Crane Fluid Systems, Durapipe, Hattersley, Rehau and Yorkshire Fittings. The last show, H&V05 in 2005, attracted over 6500 visitors. H&V07 will run alongside RAC07, which covers refrigeration and air conditioning.
