A new version of Lochinvar’s CP-M high-efficiency condensing boiler for commercial use has the ability to include on-board options, including control of up to four different zones. Steve McConnell, technical manager with Lochinvar, explains, ‘These control options provide a cost-efficient alternative to a full building-management system — as many of the same features are included, but at a reduced capital cost.’ These boilers can also be interrogated by a laptop computer to provide information such as performance data. Built-in weather compensation enables them to operate for longer in condensing mode. Six models provide outputs from 60 to 180 kW at 109.5% efficiency. The CP-M range is particularly suitable for modular installation, with flue headers and manifold pipework available as ancillary options and sequence control a standard feature. They have stainless-steel heat exchangers.
