Hattersley takes the lead at Ascot Racecourse

Hattersley
Hundreds of Hattersley valves were incorporated into prefabricated units for the massive plantroom of the new grandstand at Ascot Racecourse.
Hundreds of control valves have been supplied for the massive plantroom of the main grandstand at the newly developed Ascot Racecourse by Hattersley. The £200 million redevelopment included relocating and relaying the race track, underpasses below the track, underground supply road, new parade ring and saddling box areas — and the new grandstand. The valves were incorporated into prefabricated units by Crown House Engineering and supplied to M&E contractor Mitie Engineering for fitting on site. Valve types include thermostatic mixing valves, large Metrex butterfly valves and a range of ball, gate and check valves and associated strainers. They control heating, ventilating and air-conditioning services throughout the 6-storey grandstand complex. The grandstand includes 265 executive boxes, 42 private seating bays, seven restaurants and 39 kitchens.
