Daikin Europe has introduced a new range of inverter-driven R410A Sky Air heat-pump units. There are three models in the RZQS series, offering cooling capacities from 7.1 to 12.5 kW with heating from 8.0 to 14.0 kW. These single-phase units are intended for small to medium commercial applications such as offices, restaurants and shops. Sky Air RZQS units use the latest Daikin DC reluctance compressors on the two smaller units and scroll compressors on the 12.5 kW model. These units can be connected to a wide range of 4-way-blow ceiling-mounted cassettes, concealed ceiling, ceiling suspended and wall-mounted indoor units in symmetrical pair, twin and double-twin combinations. Maximum piping length is 30 m for the smallest model and 50 m for the two larger models.
