BSS brings new thinking to commissioning valves

Advanced thinking in commissioning — the BOSS venturi valve from BSS.
BSS has partnered with Yorkshire Fittings to launch the Boss DZR brass venturi valve as a ‘unique’ solution to commissioning heating and chilled-water systems. The fixed-orifice venturi in the valve allows the flow of water to be measured and controlled without requiring straight lengths of pipe either side of the valve. These valves can also be used for isolation. The valve can be installed with its test points in any orientation owing to the design of cylindrical chambers and pilot holes around the venturi. The valves can be connected to steel, copper or plastic systems. Sue Greatorex, BSS commercial director, says, ‘We have been working in close partnership with Yorkshire Fittings and the Broen Valve Group for many years, and combining their capabilities in product development with the reputation of our own brand, Boss, is an excellent step forward.’
