Add-on unit neutralises condensate from commercial condensing boilers

Add-on unit for neutralising condensate from commercial condensing boilers — Condensafe from Watermatic.
A simple add-on approach to neutralise condensate from commercial condensing boilers has been introduced by Watermatic. Condensafe takes the form of a cartridge that can be fitted into a standard 40 mm plastic waste drain and is fitted with universal couplers for all makes of such pipes. The volume of condensate that can be handled is said to be usually sufficient for the cartridge to be changed when the boiler is serviced. Watermatic has a system to remind customers when a cartridge needs to be changed. If there are several condensing boilers, an appropriately sized unit can be selected. The cartridge increases the strength of condensate from pH4 (medium-strength acid) to pH 7 to 8 (neutral to slightly alkaline).
