Solar glare under control
Published:  September 2004

A solar-controlled Sun-protection system at the Manchester offices of the Royal Bank of Scotland automatically control 320 venetian blinds that have been fitted to this glass-fronted structure.

Somfy was approached by main contract Sir Robert McAlpine to design a solution to help prevent glare from the Sun. The tailor-made solution involves the blinds tilting automatically with the movement of the Sun and moving up and down at the touch of a button
