Lochinvar has launched a new initiative to raise funds for the National Energy Foundation by making a donation to the NEF for every product in its latest range of water heaters sold during 2007. The scheme follows the news that Lochinvar has moved into renewable energy by joining forces with Rayotec to supply renewable water-heating solutions for commercial and industrial applications by combining its gas-fired water heaters with solar-heating products. Managing director David Pepper says, ‘Energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and using sustainable resources are at the forefront of the issues currently facing the building-services sector. ‘We are committed to investing in advanced technology and products which offer high efficiency and minimal CO2 emissions. We believe the objectives of the NEF fit in very well with our philosophy, and, with our customers, we are pleased to support the work of the foundation.’ The NEF is an independent educational charity based in Milton Keynes. Its objective is to work for the more efficient, innovative and safe use of energy and to increase public awareness of energy in all its aspects.’
