Two separate systems of Clyde condensing boilers provide an efficient approach to meeting the high hot-water loads and low heating loads of a new sports and social pavilion in west London
Energy-efficient heating and hot water for the new Olympic Pavilion at the Trailfinders Sports Club in Ealing are provided by stainless-steel condensing boilers supplied by Clyde Energy Solutions. The recently opened Olympic Pavilion is designed to echo the Victorian style of the club’s original building, which dates back to 1900 and which was destroyed by fire in 2005. The new pavilion provides facilities for weddings, parties, sports days and corporate events. It also includes conference and banqueting rooms, plus a 120-seat theatre. Seven wall-hung Clyde CG condensing boilers with a seasonal efficiency of 95% were specified by MH Associated and installed by Regency Building Services. The purpose-built plant room on the lower ground floor houses two CG60 boilers in modular configuration with a combined heat output of 116 kW. They are complemented by five CG180 boilers with a total output of 900 kW. Features of CG boilers include pre-mix modulating burners and stainless-steel heat exchangers.
