Completely self-contained, Tempomatic 3 electronic taps and mixers from Douglas Delabie automatically flush 24 hours after the last use to prevent stagnation and bacteria developing in supply pipes.
To overcome the problems of water stagnation and bacteria developing in supply pipes to taps, Tempomatic 3 electronic taps and mixers from Douglas Delabie incorporate an automatic flush device to activate an automatic 45-second flush each 24 hours after the last use. Tempomatic 3 products also shut off automatically after hands are removed and have a pre-set flow rate of 5 l/min. These features are said to reduce water consumption by up to 80% compared with traditional mixers and taps. Water runs for two seconds after hands have been removed to rinse the basin. Electronic control, solenoid valve and lithium battery are all built into the tap body. The batteries have an average life of 350 000 cycles (three to five years) and can be replaced without isolating the water supply. The solenoid valve can also be serviced from the sop. On the basin mixer, the water temperature can be adjusted by the user with a manual selector lever.
