Honeywell adds IP21 option to its HVAC drives

An IP21 option for Honeywell’s HVAC drives cuts project costs.
Honeywell has added an HVAC drive with IP21 protection to its established IP54 models. The latest drive costs less but is equally easy to install and can be set up in 30 seconds using Honeywell’s start-up wizard. Other features include built-in Modbus and plug-in cards for other common open and proprietary buses. Selecting the right drives simply requires specifying the motor power, up to 30 kW, and protection class (IP21 or IP54). The drives are preconfigured and have a Class C RFI filter. These drives have built-in PID controllers, and pump and fan cascades to share the load between several parallel pumps, extending their life.
