Level-access shower package meets requirements of DDA
By packaging a level access pump with a Selectronic shower, Redring provides flexibility of siting and meets the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
Redring has designed its Selectronic Level Access Pump to meet growing demand for wet rooms and care-sector installations where level shower access is required and gravity drainage is not possible. It is said to be the only shower that fully meets the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and also provides complete flexibility in siting. The design is also endorsed by the Royal National Institute for the Blind. The pump contains a diaphragm, not an impeller, to ensure there are no blockages or reduction in performance. There is also no need for a flow switch and associated wiring. The Selectronic thermostatic shower with its temperature limited to 40°C and level access pump is supplied in one box and is compatible with a shower drain kit, tray and wet floor models.
