BSRIA’s latest publication, ‘The illustrated guide to renewable technologies, BG 1/2008’, is described as the ideal primer for understanding the wide variety of innovative systems that provide cleaner and less environmentally damaging ways of heating, cooling and powering buildings. The guide describes the major technologies that can be incorporated into new and existing buildings — along with their operational characteristics, maintenance requirements and an idea of the possible reduction in carbon-dioxide emissions. The guide is designed to assist technical dialogue between a client and a design team during the briefing process and to help a project team to identify suitable technologies.
