Independent distributor FM has been selected by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as a distributor for its complete range of VRF and split air-conditioning systems in the UK. FM is a wholly owned subsidiary of AMP Air Conditioning. David Lettis, UK sales manager for MHI, says, ‘FM is an established and successful company with a track record of providing solutions. Independent distributors like FM, which give clients a genuinely value-added service, represent the future of the industry.’ MHI’s VRF range comprises outdoor units from 12 to 136 kW with a wide choice of indoor units and is currently launching the KX6 Compact range, which provides all the ‘big-system’ benefits of flexibility and control for smaller offices, retail or apartment developments of two to eight rooms. There are three outdoor units of 12, 14 and 16 kW that require only one single-side fan and are available as single- or 3-phase. The wide range of indoor units have a new control logic, Superlink II, which provides control and management for the most complex multi-occupancy building with just 2-wire connections to the remote controllers. The maximum difference in height between indoor units is 15 m and the maximum connectable capacity is 150%.
