Thermal output of SPC radiant panels is confirmed to European standard

The thermal performance of SPC’s Thermatile Plus radiant ceiling panels is now accredited to EN14037.
Radiant ceiling panels from S&P Coil Products have been accredited with the European standard EN14037 for their output. The accreditation is for the Thermatile Plus range, which was tested by the WSP Lab Stuttgart in Germany. Testing of radiant panels by manufacturers has been promoted by the Association of European Manufacturers of Ceiling Panels, which consists of the major radiant-panel manufacturers in the UK — including SPC. Warwick Taylor, UK sales director with SPC, explains, ‘For a number of years, manufacturers have been publishing outputs for radiant panels with no suitable standard to base them on. Now we have a European radiant-panel standard that we can all use.’ Welcoming the news, Phil Johnson, senior mechanical engineer at Pick Everard, says, ‘We have specified SPC’s Thermatile Plus radiant panels on a number of projects over the past few years. The accreditation to EN14037 fully justifies our confidence in the product and what we already know about how it performs.’
