Oh, what a lovely War Museum

Meeting the updated requirements of the Imperial War Museum for controlled lighting to highlight exhibits, alongside appropriate light levels for background ambience, is an upgraded Helvar lighting-control system.
When the Imperial War Museum recently redesigned and upgraded its lighting-control system, Helvar was specified — the company which supplied the original system. Following a lengthy design and installation process, the Imagine system provides the museum’s main atrium and galleries with state-of-the-art lighting control that creates an enriched experience for visitors. The previous system had provided good service for 20 years. Andrew Lark of the museum says of the upgrade, ‘The Imagine system fits our needs perfectly; it is easy to use, simple to program and delivers the results we require.’ Installed by FTP Building Services of Kent, the system comprises 14 Imagine dimmer racks controlled by three scenesets. It provides a wide variety of scene-setting levels to highlight the exhibits, alongside appropriate light levels for background ambience. If exhibits are moved or changed, the system is easy to reprogram to meet the new requirements.
