Lochinvar shows its capabilities at University of Oxford

New Lochinvar boilers are delivering energy-efficient heating at Oxford University’s Keble College.

Lochinvar has supplied new gas-fired high-efficiency boilers to provide heating for Oxford University’s Keble College. The two EcoKnight EKB145 boilers are in the basement plant room of the main college building and provide space heating for the library, main dining hall and the fellows’ dining rooms. They were specified by SI Integrated Services & Design of Oxford.

As well as helping to reduce the college’s carbon emissions, the small footprint of these boilers and their ability to provide long flue runs allows for flexible siting in the restricted space of the old plant room.

These boilers have fully modulating burners and stainless-steel heat exchangers. Flue options include concentric, horizontal and balanced flue assemblies and conventional/open flue.
