Sanyo advances the technology of VRF air conditioning

Sanyo Air Conditioners offers a VRF system with a built-in option for standard or high-efficiency performance. When the Series 6 ECOi VRF system operates in standard mode, it has a higher capacity. The high-efficiency option give a higher COP and a slight reduction in capacity.

This new system has significantly extended pipe runs — up from 300 m to 1000 m. Up to 64 indoor units can be connected, with up to twice the capacity of the outdoor units — enabling a system to be used on highly diversified building loads.

The DC inverter-controlled system has a fan with a high external static pressure delivering up to 80 Pa, so outdoor units can be installed inside plant rooms on any floor of a building.

The Series 6 is available with outdoor units having capacities from 8 to 20 hp, with the high-COP combined-option range available from 10 to 16 hp. It is also suitable for use with Sanyo’s R22 renewable technology.

Series 6 is initially available as a 2-pipe system. A heat-recovery 3-pipe version will follow later this year.
