Hitachi VRF systems deliver comfort to Irish tourist attractions
Hitachi IVX and Set Free VRF systems have been installed to provide heating and cooling for two of Ireland’s top tourist sites. They are the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin and the Waterford Crystal showrooms. Each of the buildings presents its own heating and cooling challenges, which have been addressed by the Hitachi systems, with up to 10 individually controlled indoor units connected to one outdoor unit.
The open-plan Guinness Storehouse, for example, has vast ceilings and is spread over seven floors.
The installations are also efficient users of energy, with EERs for cooling of up to 4.1 and heating COPs of up to 4.41.
Contributing to the ease of installation for these projects is a maximum pipe length between the outdoor unit and an indoor unit of 100 m.
