Invisible.AC is linked with heat pump to deliver efficient heating and cooling
Discreet and energy-efficient heating and cooling for the restored art-deco beach-front Marine Cafe in Milford on Sea by an Invisible small-duct high-velocity system linked to Daikin Altherma heat pumps. Supplied by IBD Distribution, the system serves the cafe bar and the living accommodation.
IBD Distribution, a Daikin Renewables Partner, has supply two compact Invisible.AC air-handling units and a mini-duct delivery system to provide cooling to the cafe area. The system fits into the ceiling void, with ducting to the room outlets having the flexibility to weave around the ceiling joists.
There are two Daikin Altherma heat pumps, one for the owner’s apartment and one for the cafe bar. They supply underfloor heating and also produce domestic hot water in the apartment. The same heat-pump system is linked to the Invisible.AC system to provide cooling during the Summer when heating is not required.
A solar-thermal system provides hot water for the restaurant and cafe bar.
