Remeha boilers support LZC technologies in Co-operative superstore

Supporting LZC technologies in this new superstore at Oakham are two Remeha gas-fired condensing boilers.

To support the host of LZC measures in the new store at Oakham of the Midland Co-operative Society two Remeha Gas 210 Pro floor-standing boilers have been installed. These high-efficiency boilers are designed to operate in tandem with the systems that recover low-grade heat from the store’s refrigeration system to heat the building. Up to 250 kW of heat can be recovered at peak loads, but it is highly variable so the boilers are designed to meet the building heating load.

The new superstore, which won the commissioning project of the year in the 2011 CIBSE Building Performance Awards, has underfloor heating and a solar-thermal system for domestic hot water.

The Remeha boilers achieve a gross efficiency of 99% with flow/return temperatures of 40/30°C and are fully modulating. They also have very low NOx emissions.

EDP Consulting was the consulting engineer, and the boilers were installed by William Bailey.
