Sudlows wins major data-centre contract for Co-operative Group
Sudlows has won a multi-million contract to build an innovative data centre for the new Co-operative headquarters in Manchester. This 4 MVA data centre will be designed to operate at Tier 3 resilience and, to reflect the Co-operative’s green initiative, set the standard for environmentally sustainable development. A key driver is to deliver a reliable facility within the most stringent energy-efficiency targets.
Features will include the latest EDRUPS flywheel UPS technology, which is considered to be among the most energy-efficient in the world.
The project is due to be operational by Summer 2011.
