Wall-mounted booster sets address problem of restricted space

Smedegaard, cold water booster set

Smedegaard has launched a range of compact wall-mounted cold-water booster sets. Called the FalFlex range, these units are said to solve the traditional problem of limited space in plant rooms. Sets are mounted on rubber-line support brackets to reduce noise transmission.

Two stainless-steel pumps give duty/assist or duty/standby operation. Each pump has a frequency inverter and delivers flows of up to 3l/s at up to 8 bar. Each pump can be controlled via a pressure transducer in the discharge flow manifold delivering a 4 to 20 mA signal to the inverter to vary the motor speed.

A digital interface shows output current, transducer status, high/low water and drive status.

FalFlex booster sets are available in single phase with low-water volt-free contact or 3-phase with low-water and common-fault volt-free contacts.
