New boiler plant supplied by Atlantic Boilers for the Formby Golf Course on Merseyside comprises three VF 100 kW condensing boilers of stainless-steel construction throughout and with low-Nox pre-mix modulating burners. They also have built-in circulating pumps and a control panel that includes a management system.

The clubhouse was built in 1901, and the club will stage the Brabazon Amateur Trophy in June 2013, in preparation for which the clubhouse is being upgraded.

The boilers were recommended by Rodney Environmental of Liverpool and installed by Strong Maintenance of Knowsley. They are the largest of the VF range, which offers outputs from 40 to 100 kW.
