Carbon Trust partners with major insurer to help customers save energy

The Carbon Trust has announced a partnership with leading global insurer RSA to help its customers be more energy efficient. The Carbon Trust Implementation Services will partner with RSA’s engineering inspection and consultancy business and its 450 engineers to provide advice from trusted technical experts on installing new energy-efficiency equipment to reduce costs at a time of high and volatile energy prices.

By seeking advice on the most energy-efficient lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, businesses can drive down costs and reduce the risk of expensive equipment breakdowns.

RSA takes its own carbon-reduction strategy very seriously, having halved its carbon footprint since 2000 and offset the remainder by purchasing voluntary carbon credits.

Over the past 10 years, the Carbon Trust has worked with 75% of FTSE 100 companies, tens of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses and over 3000 public-sector bodies to help achieve £4.5 billion in energy savings.
