Available in finishes and designs to harmonise with sophisticated interiors — Legrand’s Synergy system of wiring accessories.
Legrand and Tenby have combined expertise to create a system of wiring accessories ‘that will completely redefine the market’. The Synergy range provides interior designers with wiring accessories that complement every conceivable decor, while meeting the practical and safety needs of installers and end users. There are over 1500 new products. The range combines voice, data and image accessories (VDI) with a comprehensive grid system. Sockets have a 3-pin safety shutter, so that all three pins must be inserted. Accessories are available in two distinctly different forms — modern and traditional. Both are available in a choice of finishes that cater for ‘warm’ and ‘cool’ design themes. All the modern products have hidden screws and slim, contoured plates — said to be a UK first for metal products. The traditional products also have new slim plates. Features include a 3-light LED display which is invisible on all white products until it is activated. A contoured rocker gives switch-operated accessories a unique appearance and precision action. Finishes are standard white, nickel and silver. Grid modules can incorporate a full range of 10AX and 20AX switches, VDI TV and audio functions, electronic dimmers and time-delay switches. The grid range can also accommodate all Legrand’s Mosaic module functions. There is also a complete range of surface-mounted back boxes, compact mechanisms to maximise wiring space, large angled screw entries and clear laser marking as standard. All terminals are deep and are designed for easy cable entry. All mechanisms are supplied with backed-off screws. Alastair Ramsay of Legrand explains, ‘Research shows that style now plays a more important role than ever in any interior. As a result, design trends are becoming every more diverse. To keep pace with this design-led culture, wiring accessories have had to evolve to a stage where they are stylish, functional and, due to the longevity of their lifespan, equipped to cope with future developments and changing design trends.
