A. O. Smith moves into the boilers market

Space heating, boiler, A.O.Smith

A. O. Smith has launched five commercial boilers to complement its range of high-efficiency water heaters and solar systems. Epsilon and Upsilon (pictured) condensing boilers have outputs from 38 to 140 kW and enable the company to deliver a total solution for heating and hot water.

There are two Epsilon models with outputs of 38 and 51 kW, suiting them to medium commercial and large residential applications.

The Upsilon is aimed at large commercial applications. There are three models with outputs of 70, 110 and 140 kW.

A prefabricated rig system for the Upsilon cascade solution includes all the framework, pipework and low-loss header. Up to eight boilers can be installed in sequence — back to back or side by side. Boilers can be wall hung or free standing. Boilers with different outputs can be combined to deliver the required output. An intelligent sequence controller and fully modulating pump are built into each boiler.

Al boilers are modulating and have stainless-steel heat exchangers. Efficiencies are up to 110%, with an NOx Class 5 rating.

Maintenance intervals are once every four years.
