CIBSE and IStructE collaborate on BIM

CIBSE has welcomed the Institution of Structural Engineers becoming an official support of the of BIMTalk web site. It is the gateway between institutions to information about Building Information Modelling. The initiative has been led by CIBSE’s BIM steering group and is also supported by BSRIA and the Landscape Institute.

Paddy Conaghan of Hoare Lea and chairman of the BIM steering group, says, ‘For BIM to succeed, we will need co-operation across the entire built environment, so I am delighted that the Institution of Structural Engineers is supporting this initiative. This project is an example of the kind of collaboration which BIM is bringing to the construction industry.’
