Controls upgrades boost efficiency of AET’s underfloor air conditioning

AET, underfloor air conditioning, energy efficency

Numerous users of AET’s Flexible Space underfloor air-conditioning systems are benefiting from improved operation and energy efficiency following major controls upgrades. They include clients such as Jaguar Land Rover, Tag Farnborough and Bloomberg.

During such major controls upgrades, redundant macro-face PCBs are removed from the CAM and replaced with the latest macro-face processors (Flexface) and digital expansion PCBs.The original Hiromatic visual display units that allow access to the Flexface are replaced with the latest Flexface visual display units. The Flexmatic can monitor up to 16 CAM units, or eight if the system is configured with an external BMS.

Fatronic controllers integrated into fantile units can be upgraded to the latest model (pictured) to ensure full compatibility and functionality. They have been developed alongside the fantile to meet the demanding energy-efficiency targets in the current office markers. The latest controller can operate AC or DC fans with 0 to 10 V adjustment for EC fan control, minimum fan speed setting for heating, a run-on feature for electric heating, and setting of master/slave function.

AET’s specialist service and maintenance team can recommend bespoke upgrade options, depending on the original installation specification and current usage of the space.
