Air conditioners for retail sector designed for efficiency

Storemaster
Featuring free cooling and electronic expansion valves, Airedale’s Storemaster packaged air-conditioning units are aimed at the retail sector.
A range of fully packaged air conditioners for retail applications has been developed by Airedale. They are designed for superstores, warehouses, department stores and other retail outlets. These single-circuit direct-expansion units offer 50 or 77 kW of cooling using hermetic tandem scroll compressors. The 50 kW units feature first-stage free cooling followed by mechanical cooling. The 70 kW unit uses different-sized compressors to provide free cooling followed by 2-stage mechanical cooling. A free-cooling economiser damper section reduces running costs throughout the year and improves energy-efficiency ratios. Direct-drive plug fans in an attenuated scroll house reduce nose from discharge and breakout. These Storemaster units have a small footprint and supply and return duct connections on the top. A split-case option is available for use in plant rooms. The Airetronix micro-processor control electronic expansion valves to achieve high energy-efficiency ratios and permit adjust of airflow. Heating options include indirect gas, electric and LPHW. The option of constant air volume maintains design air flow against rising static pressure. Other options include soft start, compressor power-factor correction, phenolic-coated coils and coil guards. Storemaster units are despatched with a full charge of R407C. There is also a pre-charge option for split systems with pipe runs up to 5 m. info@airedale.com
