Vokera shows its capabilities in light-commercial market

Marking Vokera’s entry into the light-commercial market is this CondexaPRO installation for New Charter Building Company.

Vokera’s recently launched CondexaPRO boiler has been installed in the head office and warehouse of the New Charter Building Company as part of the upgrading of the heating system. New Charter Building Company was established in March 2000 to support the biggest transfer of housing stock in the country at the time. Nearly 16 400 homes were transferred from Tameside Council. From the outset, New Charter and Vokera have formed a strong alliance, and 10 000 Vokera domestic boilers have been installed in New Charter Building’s domestic housing stock to date. M&E service manager John Corr explains, ‘The heating system in our head office and warehousing, which comprises an area of 2225 m2, was previously powered by two standard-efficiency boilers which had seen better days and were probably becoming inefficient. Therefore, we were looking to specify a single boiler that would provide far superior efficiency and reliability. Vokera launched the CondexaPRO model at the ideal time, and our decision was straightforward.’ The launch of this boiler marks Vokera’s entry into the light-commercial market. There are three models with outputs from 50 to 400 kW. Multiple boilers can be operated in master/slave mode. Three circuits can be run at three different temperatures. The pre-mix burner has one or more heating elements in series. A stainless-steel condensing heat exchanger on the exhaust side and copper-alloy on the water side enables these boilers to achieve efficiencies of up to 108.7% net.
