Tridium’s Niagara Framework wins major green award

Tridium’s Niagara framework for integrating a range of systems for managing and controlling buildings has won the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Green Excellence HVAC Controls Technology Innovation Award. A feature of the technology is that anyone can develop their own applications using the platform and make them available to the market as their own product.

Priya Cheriyan, research analyst with Frost & Sullivan, says, ‘Niagara is a major advantage for the automation industry since integration is the single differentiating factor amidst a highly price-driven market that has an abundance of players clamouring to prove their value. Technologies such as the Niagara Framework can greatly reduce costs while still delivering superior quality and integration without compromising on cost and energy efficiency.’
