Places for People offsets CO2 emissions from its Remeha boilers

Reheha, boiler, carbon footprint

Remeha has helped Places for People, the UK property-management and development group, reduce its carbon footprint by financing important carbon-reducing projects in the third world. Places for People operates Remeha boilers and contributed over £7000 to the scheme arranged through JP Morgan ClimateCare. The scheme involves offset payments for CO2 emissions to create a near-neutral carbon balance on the installed Remeha boilers.

The contribution from Places for People supports projects such as bargasse power in India to the Mani micro hydro power station in China, from wind power in Shandong to efficient stoves in Uganda.

Katy Mills, head of group purchasing at Places for People, said, ‘We are extremely happy to work with such a proactive and innovative as Remeha, leading the way in energy efficiency and sustainable solutions, a company who truly care for the environment — as can be seen through this commitment to ClimateCare. This fits neatly with our own commitment to our sustainable development strategy and aspirations.’
