Airflow helps comply with requirements of Part F

Airflow Developments, anemometer, Part F, ventilation

Airflow’s LCA301 anemometer kit is designed to help installers meet the recommendations set out in the 2010 domestic-compliance guide to Part F of the Building Regulations. The kit makes it easy to accurately measure airflow in both directions from exterior extract grilles or internal air valves.

This guide requires all ventilation systems, from a simple extract fan to a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, notifiable to the latest Building Regulations for both new work and refurbishment, to be measured on site. The readings are required to be reported to Building Control within five days of installation.

To ensure an accurate result, the instrument averages airflow every three seconds, up to a maximum of 12 minutes.

Each instrument is supplied with a DKD Certificate of Calibration that is traceable to UKAS standards and registration to a free annual calibration reminder service to ensure the user’s yearly quality-assurance requirements can be maintained.
