Elta Fans handles the hard stuff in bottling plant

Elta, Fans, AHUs

Elta has supplied a range of fans to meet the ventilation requirements of a new bottling plant for one of Scotland’s premier producers of single-malt whiskies. The production facility comprises two manufacturing halls covering 10 000 m2 and an office building of 2000 m2.

Six Quietflow Twin DCVs (pictured) were supplied by Elta Fans’ distributor VHS to subcontractor NG Bailey. Also supplied was a Biflow bifurcated axial fan specially developed for hostile air conditions and designed to that the airflow totally bypasses the motor. A Skyflow SSMF and two Revolution SLCs were also supplied.

The bottling plant and office are on a 12 acre site chosen for its proximity to the existing bottling facility.

Consulting engineer was Blyth & Blythe.
