Energy Minister Greg Barker (centre) visited a reception in the House of Commons by Zenex Technologies to present its passive flue-gas heat-recovery system as a means of cutting flue bills without public subsidy, decarbonisation and reducing fuel poverty. The reception was hosted by John Hemming (second from right) on the eve of the second reading of his Family Justice Bill; he said, ‘Families are at the heart of Government and politics. This technology is an important part of family just, concerned as it is with families and the cost of living.’

Also at the reception were (left) Dave Sowden, chief executive of the Micropower Council. Next to him is Chris Farrell, MD of Zenex Technologies and inventor of the device. Right is lobbyist Ron Bailey.
